Welcome to Venture Out Business Center, known as Southeastern Indiana's Small Business Incubator. We were formed to augment the economic base of Southeastern Indiana by enhancing entrepreneurial opportunities for new, expanding, and retrievable at-risk small businesses.


The Venture Out Business Center’s mission is to provide new and existing small businesses the management assistance, cost-effective space, and a synergistic environment to encourage the development of area entrepreneurial ventures which contribute to the area’s economic health,

and create and retain job opportunities.

  • Can I bring my own food?


  • How long is the reservation?

    Room is rented per day for social events. Business can receive half day pricing.

  • Are tables and chairs provided?

    Yes, we provide tables and chairs & the customer sets up and tears down.

  • When will I get my deposit back?

    If the room is in good condition after the event, your deposit will be mailed back to you within two weeks.

  • Do you have tablecloths?

    Yes, tablecloths are $10.00 each to rent and they come in

    black or white

  • Can I decorate?

    Of course! Please only use sticky-tack or command hooks on the walls. Candles are permitted.

  • Can I rent on the weekend?

    Yes, you can rent out nights and weekends. There is no staff during those hours so you will need to pick up a key during regular business hours before your event.

  • Can I serve alcohol?

    Yes, there’s an extra deposit of $150.00 (also refundable). It must be served by a caterer with a 3-way liquor license.

  • Is there a minimum usage requirement?

    No, you can use a little as a couple of hours or as much as up to 4 days per week.

  • How do I schedule?

    All scheduling is now done through Food Corridor. Kitchen clients must have an account set up on the site. Staff can assist with this process.

  • What if I need to cancel?

    You may cancel within 7 days of your scheduled time with no penalty.

  • Can I bring my own equipment?

    You can bring in whatever you need & if you also need storage space, we can arrange that.

  • What about cleaning products?

    VOBC provides a variety of cleaning products as well as gloves and hairnets.

  • How do I get in?

    You’ll be given a 4-digit access code of your choosing.

  • Who should be ServSafe Certified?

    At least one member of your team who does have a ServSafe must be present with the other team members during production.
